I'm Very Disappointed Today...

... not because 'Scooter' Libby was indicted, but because Joe Wilson wasn't.

Boycott Bond

Well, the new 'Bond' is already sounding as inane as the moonbatista he replaced.

I hate handguns. Handguns are used to shoot people and as long as they are around, people will shoot each other.

Let's see, he hates guns because people shoot each other with them, but he's more than willing to assume the role of a character who spends half his time shooting people with guns. Oh, brother. Did this guy's parents have any kids that lived? No more 007 films for me. Not until they find a Bond who isn't a talking point with a $200 haircut.

The Other UN Scandal

Here's the latest on the latest (and widely unreported) UN scandal. It's widely unreported because Tom DeLay's mug shot is so much more important to the MSM than covering the rampant and mass scale corruption that seems to emanate from every crack and orifice in this 'esteemed world body'.

Good Sense On Guns

Demonstrating a clarity that is obviously lacking from their uptown MSM colleagues, this New York Sun piece represents one of the most rational articles on the subject of gun control that I've ever seen from a NY paper. Regarding the Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, the editorial notes:

...if the liberal press starts caterwauling about a shield law for the gun makers, bear in mind that the press is up on Capitol Hill right now, asking for a shield law of its own - under the same Bill of Rights that covers the gun makers.

UN Seeking to Abridge 2nd Amendment

Well, once again the UN is working hard to deny Americans their rights acknowledged under the US Constitution. This speaks to four issues: 1/ It proves the UN, in all it's corrupt arrogance, doesn't care about the civil rights of citizens of sovereign nations. 2/ It illustrates how the UN, through it's manipulation of the treaty clause (Article VI, Clause 2), seeks to impose it's will on the citizens of the United States and the world in general. 3/ It demonstrates the need for the US to immediately withdraw from the UN and evict these presumptuous international squatters from the Manhattan real estate they currently occupy. 4/ It proves why the treaty clause is in serious need of revision. We need to get the heck out of the UN and get the UN the heck out of here. Then we need to insure that the treaty clause cannot be used to force unacceptable international will down our throats.

Stabbed Over Beer

Unbelievable. Two Mexican illegal immigrants stab a guy over a 12-pack of Corona. Of course, you have to read between the lines to determine that these two beer-banditos are illegals. Crime perpetrated by illegals is on the rise like no other crime wave in modern American memory, and our government not only does nothing, but actually encourages more illegal immigration.

Update

I e-mailed Margaret Bonafide of the Asbury Park Press and asked her why she neglected to come right out and say the two perps were illegal immigrants. After all, it was deemed important enough to report on the brand of (Mexican) beer involved. So far, no response from Ms. Bonafide.

Why Liberals Love Gun Control

I loved this therealitycheck.org article because it discusses the framer's original intent as well as early, fundamentally flawed attempts at gun control and how the same flawed mindset is at work today.

'The goal of gun control is not to actually control guns and make the world a safer place, but to control people'.

Yes, and the Brady Bunch knows it. IANSA knows it. Schumer, Boxer, Feinstein, Kerry, Clinton... they all know it too.

Piglet Banned in Britain?

Talk about political correctivism run amok! Relapsed Catholic provides all the germane details and links. Also go there to join the 'Free Piglet' campaign. Until further notice, I've removed my standard page image of 'Old Abe', the Civil War mascot of the 8th Wisconsin and have replaced it with the graphic from Benjamin Hoff's 'The Te of Piglet'. A book no doubt also banned for fear of upsetting Islamic sensibilities. Oink this, pal.
