What The Fringe Left Wishes For Laura...

Michelle breaks down the DU crowd's predictable reaction to Laura Ingraham's recent cancer diagnosis. These DU ill-wishers are not only incapable of logical thought (something we all knew already), but they're incapable of compassion too. I would expect nothing less. The upshot is this proves once and for all that the mentally ill are capable of using computers and would appear to have easy access to the internet.

Thoughts & Prayers for Laura...

Laura Ingraham has announced that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer (her statement can be found on her site, via the blog roll at right). She has a lot of folks pulling for her, so may her recovery be quick.

Crime On The Border, ACLU Style!

The South East Arizona Republican Club reports on ACLU 'Legal Observers' and the criminal activity they're perpetrating. It was always my opinion that the ACLU was a smarmy bunch. Now we have the photographic evidence that proves it! Now let's see how much play the MSM gives this story....

Message to Republican Leadership: Grow Some Backbone

Today, Rush vocalized pretty much what I've been feeling for the past few weeks. That being complete mystification over what appears to be the Republican majority once again snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. By coercing, intimidating and/or otherwise forcing some Republicans to 'moderate' on important agenda items, the Democrats appear to be pulling off the impossible: imposing majority influence from a minority position. So tell me, why vote Republicans into the majority if they'll only wind up buckling under the pressure of the smarmy liberal machine? I'm far from the only Conservative asking myself this question, so let this be a warning to GOP leadership: grow some backbone, stand by the agenda and face down the obstructionists or you may find that your Conservative base isn't there for you at the next election.

Border Clampdown... On Americans?

Oh boy, this is absolutely exquisite. Americans will have to produce a passport when re-entering the US from Mexico or Canada. Canadians will have to show a passport when entering. Apparently, since no reference is made in the article, paperwork isn't necessary if you're Mexican. At this point, it's easier for me to cross the border as an illegal than a born US citizen. I get the feeling the Titanic is sinking and President Bush is busy re-arranging the deck chairs.

Minuteman Project Has Positive Impact

The AP story is predictably negative, but the Minuteman Project is having very positive results: decreased illegal entries in the areas patrolled by the volunteers. No big surprise there. According to a Border Patrol spokesman, part of the reason for the decrease is the presence of the Mexican Army just across the Mexican border. Well, so then it's proof positive that a military presence on the border would eliminate illegal entries!! The Border Patrol also has issues with the Minutemen, specifically the fact that they are setting off monitoring sensors along the border forcing the agents to respond (hey Border Patrol guys, you knew they were going to be there. Wouldn't it have made sense to alert them to the locations of the sensors???). By the way, why is the Mexican Army on alert just over the border? Do they expect to be invaded by the Minutemen? I would love to know what the general orders for those units are.

Gun Control's Best Friend

Dimitri Vassilaros gets it and Amnesty International doesn't (like they ever did?). Goodness knows, we can't have people running around able to protect themselves!
